Alumni Resource Directory
It is important that previous scholarship recipients keep the Foundation updated regarding their current employment information ─ regardless if they are still employed within the industry. This information helps us track the success of our programs and the information is shared with our donors.
One of the primary alumni benefits is your listing in AH&LEF’s Alumni Resource Directory, which has proven to be an invaluable networking resource as well as recruiting tool for HR directors and industry executives. In fact, the directory is being published again at the request of AH&LEF’s donors and industry leaders.
The directory will be a compilation of members’ name, scholarship(s) awarded, school affiliation at the time of award, current city and state, email address, and current employment information (title and company). An enhanced online format will allow managers to get the most use from it by searching via city, state, school, or current employer. We anticipate that the new online directory will be available in late 2012.
The last directory was published in 2008 and featured 523 scholars. Of these respondents, the Foundation was pleased to note that 43% were employed at a hotel. The statistical career information that the survey provides will help AH&LEF raise funds for much-needed scholarships.
