The Research and Project Funding Committee oversees the grant program and makes funding recommendations to the AH&LEF board. In 2008, a total of $275,000 will be allocated to the research program. In general, proposals should be national in scope and have an impact across all lodging segments. Applicants are encouraged to review the summaries of previously funded projects.

The guidelines contain specific information regarding eligible use of funds, policy regarding how the funds are disbursed, and grant regulations. Additionally, this document contains application instructions and outlines the submittal requirements. All funding requests must be submitted utilizing AH&LEF's on-line application. All applicants should print and read the funding guidelines prior to logging into the on-line application portion of the website. The on-line application will follow the outline provided in the application instructions.
