Academic Scholarships are for students studying in a hospitality-related degree granting curriculum at a US college or university. The deadline date for consideration of a 2011 academic scholarship is May 1st. Winners will be announced in mid July.

Professional Development Scholarships are open to AH&LA-member full-time hotel employees seeking to take distance learning through the AH&LA's Educational Institute (EI) or apply for a professional certification. Applications are accepted throughout the year and reviewed quarterly – January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
